창조의 소망
만물을 새롭게 하시는 하나님의 소망“보좌에 앉으신 이가 이르시되 보라 내가 만물을 새롭게 하노라 하시고 또 이르시되 이 말은 신실하고 참되니 기록하라 하시고”

존재하는 모든 것은 하나님께로부터 왔고, 또한 하나님께로 돌아갑니다. 말씀은 하나님께서 모든 생명의 근원이시며, 그 생명을 지금도 유지하시고, 또한 영생을 주시는 분이심을 선포합니다. 생명의 하나님을 믿는 우리는, 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 자연이라는 선물 속에서 그분의 생명력을 바라보게 됩니다. 이 생명은 하나님께서 허락하신 귀한 것이기에, 우리는 단순히 누리는 것을 넘어, 생태계를 돌보는 삶을 통해 생명의 주권을 가지신 하나님을 경외하며 살아가야 합니다.
이러한 삶은 우리에게 한 가지 더 깊은 의미를 드러냅니다. 바로, 모든 생명의 하나님께서 우리의 유일한 소망이시라는 사실입니다. 자연을 통해 드러나는 하나님의 아름다움을 바라볼 때, 우리는 그분을 찬양하게 될 뿐만 아니라, 삶과 죽음의 모든 순간 속에서도 하나님께서 여전히 찬양받으실 분이심을 고백하게 됩니다. 또한 하나님 없이 살아가는 삶이 얼마나 공허하고 두려운지를 깨닫고, 하나님을 신뢰하는 자들에게 주어지는 영생의 소망을 붙들게 됩니다.
자연을 통한 묵상의 끝에서, 우리의 고백은 분명해집니다. 삶과 죽음의 모든 순간 속에서, 우리의 유일한 소망은 창조주 하나님, 아름다우신 하나님, 그리고 우리를 죄와 사망에서 살리신 구원의 하나님이십니다. 오늘 우리에게도 이 소망이 다시 한번 견고해지기를 바랍니다. 그리고 창조의 하나님께서 보여주신 선하심과 아름다움, 그리고 그분의 생명이, 우리를 통해 환경을 포함한 우리 주변의 모든 이들을 살리는 소망의 메시지로 흘러가기를 소망합니다.
All things come from God and return to God. Scripture proclaims that God is the source of all life, sustains that life even now, and grants eternal life. We who believe in the God of life see God’s vitality reflected in nature—the gift God has given us. Since this life is precious and granted by God, we must go beyond simply enjoying it and live in reverence for God’s sovereignty over life through a life of caring for the ecosystem.
This life reveals a deeper meaning to us: God of all life is our only hope. When we behold God’s beauty revealed through nature, we not only praise Him but also confess in every moment of life and death that God is still worthy of praise. We also come to understand how empty and fearful life without God is, and we hold onto the hope of eternal life given to those who trust God.
At the end of our meditation through nature, our confession becomes clear. In every moment of life and death, our only hope is our Creator God, our beautiful God, and the God of salvation who saved us from sin and death. We pray that this hope becomes firm once again in us today. And we hope that the goodness and beauty revealed by the God of creation, and God’s life, will flow through us as a message of hope that gives life to all those around us, including our environment.

생각해 보기 | Consider
하나님께서 만물을 창조하시고 지금도 생명을 유지하시며, 결국 모든 것을 새롭게 하실 소망을 우리에게 주셨습니다. 우리가 심고 가꾸는 작은 생명 또한 그 하나님의 생명에 참여하는 행위입니다.
God has created all things, sustains life now, and has given us the hope that He will make all things new. The small life we plant and nurture is an act of participating in God’s life.
